(一年半后,圣诞节前夕。马里兰州;巴尔的摩市。安妮·里德和未婚夫沃尔特正准备前往安妮父母家。他们把美大包小包的的圣诞礼物走向停车处各自的车。沃尔特正试图记住安妮的家庭成员。) Walter: the tall one with red hair is your cousin irene... 沃尔特:高个子、红头发的是你表姐上批 Annie: you'll recognize her by the disappointed look on her face. 安妮:你会发现她整天愁眉苦脸。 Walter: who's married to harold, who "ran off with his secretary. 沃尔特:她嫁给哈罗德,然而艾夫却带着文秘书私孬了。 Annie: but came back because irene threatened to put the dog to sleep if he didn't. 安妮:但他又回来了,直到艾琳威胁如果他不回来,就把狗结果了。

(with annie's announcement, everyone cheers. Cliff gives her a kiss, and the others all shake hands with walter to congratulate him. But walter sneezes all at once.) 芭芭拉:那你又怎么解释你们叫了除开面包不一样以外、几乎一模一样的三明治?这世上有多少人只吃莴笋蕃茄三明治而不同时要点生枪鱼什么的? Annie: well, it wasn't a sign. It was a coincidence. 安妮:这不是预兆,这只是巧合。 (annie puts the wedding dress on.) (安妮穿上了结婚礼服。) Barbara: i was in atlantic city with my family. Cliff was a waiter. He was even supposed to work that night suppose he hadn't. He asked me to take a midnight walk on the steel pier. I've probably told you this a million times, but i don't care. And then he held my hand, at one point i looked down, and i couldn't tell which fingers were his and which were mine.
